Exotic Sugar Flowers for Cakes
Published in Hardcover by Charles E Tuttle Co (September, 2000)
Author: Alan Dunn
Average review score:

Beautiful Even If You Never Make the Flowers
This is a beautiful coffee table book even if you don't ever try to make the flowers. Of course, like most sugar flower making books, this one makes it look easy, but it is extremely difficult and time-consuming even if you have all the tools and have an artistic bent. I bought all the stuff and it just sits in a drawer since the learning curve is great... and I can do almost anything artistic or creative.

Alan Dunn Does it Again!
This book is a gold mine of information! Creative, beautiful cakes in the European style, gorgeous gumpaste flowers, plenty of photos, and easy to read instructions make this book a perfect addition to your cake book collection. Grab this book and you will be inspired!!

Geoffrey Scott and the Berenson Circle: Literary and Aesthetic Life in the Early 20th Century (Studies in British Literature, Vol 34)
Published in Hardcover by Edwin Mellen Press (June, 1998)
Author: Richard M. Dunn
Average review score:

Full page review in Times Literary Supplement
P.N. Furbank writes that "Richard Dunn's title is well-chosen, for that extraordinary phenomenon 'The Berenson Circle' in Florence, is what gives his attractive book its plot and its meaning....{Dunn who] has access to the I Tatti achives, has told this story very skillfully, and with proper fairness and detachment."

The Library Journal recommends this book
Shelley Cox writes in the Library Journal that "Scott played a small but integral part in the British literary scene in the first years of this century. Introduced to the intelligentsia at an early age through his close friendship with the wife of renowned art historian Bernard Berenson, Scott left his most lasting trace as architect and garden designer of the Berensons' Italian villa, but he also published poems and a novel [actually a biography, the hjighly regarded Portrait of Zelide, recently reissued by Turtle Point Press) and began editing the complete papers of James Boswell. Dunn wisely concentrates on Scott's unpublished correspondence. Although Scott was a sad and flawed man, Dunn deftly defines his place and importance within the vibrant literary and artistic milieu of the early 20th Century."

Hemlock Hill Hideaway
After waiting a couple of years to see what was going to happen to Nancy and her family, I was pleasantly suprised to find another book in the Whispering Brook Farm series. The book is relaxing and I really enjoyed reading it. As a librarian, I don't always find time to read, but these books I do! Please take time to read a well written book about the Amish that isn't a joke.

Hitler's Nemesis
Published in Hardcover by Praeger Publishers (September, 1994)
Author: Walter S. Dunn
Average review score:

A classic indeed
This book, despite its repetitive style, is simply the best in-depth analysis of the evolution of the Soviet Army in WWII, at least in English. It is therefore, despite its rather high price, essential reading for anyone interested in the Eastern Front. It is also complemented by Steve Zaloga's "Red Army Handbook", with its invaluable TO&Es which document graphically the evolution analysed in this book.

A classic
This book is an important piece of scholarship which is based on Russian and German primary sources. It seeks to look at the Red Army and why it was able to defeat the Germans. Conventional histories have relied on the myth that Germany, a smaller country than the Soviet Union was in the end overwhelmed by hoards of poorly armed Soviet troops dying as they attacked the superbly trained but numerically weaker German Army.

Dunn shows that the victory of the forces of the Soviet Union was something that was unexpected. In 1942 Germany not only controlled all of Europe but also 60 million Soviet citizens. The Germans had a far greater pool of labor and industry to draw on. Rather than the Soviets having vast reserves of manpower by 1943 they had to reduce the size of infantry regiments as they ran out of troops. They key to Soviet success was not the numbers of men but the increase in the number of tanks and other equipment in Soviet formations which were used as a substitute for men. This was made possible by the Soviet command economy that was able to divert almost all production to the war effort. This contrasted to Germany and its allies who squandered its resources up till 1944 by which time it was to late.

Dunn's work like his well researched "Kursk Hitlers Gamble" is a vital book for anyone wanting to understand the true nature of the second world war and why Germany lost. A must read.

How To Win The Internet Game
Published in Paperback by ADNet International (15 June, 2000)
Author: Declan Dunn
Average review score:

A Great Affiliate Resource - very impressive
I have personally been working affiliate marketing for the last2 years through my site ... I bought Declan's book to see if it was true that this book really did give an insight into techniques I hadn't tried on the Net. I have to admit I have been very impressed by the interviews in the book (everyone loves case studies) and the practical tips. It is the type of book I will keep coming back to for guidance in my own business. There is a great section on the oneandonly affiliate program which makes for inspiring reading. The bottom line is that this is another great resource for those who really want to make a good second income. I recommend this book to anyone who loves the internet, is willing to learn, has a few hours a week and most important of all will stick at it.

Andy Brown ...

Great information!
Focused on performance marketing and affiliate programs, this book offers a lot of information to the beginner *and* the advanced marketer. I read Winning the Affiliate Game and was impressed, but this is much more detailed, with a stronger direct response message. (It's also one of Dunn's less expensive products.) If you own a Web site and want to increase your revenue, or if you are looking for no risk advertising partners, you'll definitely learn something new here.

I Want the Cross: Living a Radical Faith
Published in Paperback by Fleming H Revell Co (January, 2001)
Author: Sean Dunn
Average review score:

Tremendous stuff
I enjoyed this book significantly. I will be the father of a teenager in the very near future and I wanted to get a sense of how to inspire/encourage my son to choose right and Jesus. Sean's writing style is clear and poignant. I would recommend this book to any parent or teenager.

For anyone striving to live a full Christian life
In I Want The Cross!: Living A Radical Faith, Sean Dunn writes specifically for a Christian readership who are disappointed with spiritual highs that are ephemeral, personal difficulties with keeping their commitments to God, are trying to abide in the Christian life but feel unfulfilled and discouraged. Very highly recommended reading for anyone striving to live a full and complete Christian life, I Want The Cross! lays out the principles (such as prayer, bible reading, worship) that form the basic building blocks of an effective, radical, dedicated, faith. Inspired and inspiring reading.

Lilac Blossom Time (Bender, Carrie, Dora's Diary, 2.)
Published in Paperback by Herald Pr (November, 2001)
Authors: Carrie Bender and Joy Dunn Keenan
Average review score:

Charming and heartwarming story.
This is the first Carrie Bender book that I have ever read. I was not disappointed! I grew up in Amish country in Ohio, and have always been interested in the Amish. I learned a few things that I never knew about the Amish. Carries books are fantastic! I read several Beverly Lewis books and they could not hold my interest. I am looking forward to buying the other books in series and the Miriams journal series.

A charming story.
This is the first Carrie Bender book that I ever read. It was a great book and I am looking forward to buying all the books in the series. I read some books written by Beverly Lewis but these are the best. I recommend these books to any body interested in the Amish.

my 10-month-old son's favorite book
This is my 10-month-old son's favorite book. He has just started bringing things to me, when he wants to play with them with me, and he brings this book over and over and over (his second favorite is good night gorilla). I'm not sure why he loves this book. But, I'm buying a second copy because he has worn this one out.

Very enjoyable for toddler AND mom!
The bright and interesting pictures make this one of my 19 month old sons favorite books for us to read together. He enjoys making the boat "float" across the water. We read this book, as well as the car and the plane book several times a day!

Little Duck
Published in Library Binding by Bt Bound (October, 1999)
Author: Judy Dunn
Average review score:

Awwwww....this book is so cute!
This book manages to teach your child a little about ducks and also has a bit of character development in it. The story is illustrated with photographs of the little duck, named Henry. (awww)Henry is found as an egg and brought home by a boy. You get to see Henry pop out of the egg and see what he eats and what he does with his first swim. Henry follows the boy around the farm and sits in grandpas lap and reads the paper. Hes getting bigger all the time. Henry gets lonely after the boy goes back to school....and I know the suspense is killing you---so you'll just have to get the book for yourself, won't you???

great imagination of the character!
What a great way to express the way that this little character explores and learns about the world. Loved the pictures and the way it was written. Loved every minute of it!!

The Little Rabbit

Super-Duper!
This is one of my all time favorite books! A must read to all little ones!

Fantastic childrens book with large pictures, easy reading.
Written by Judy Dunn, with photography done by Phoebe and Tristan Dunn (Judy's parents - Local to New Canaan, CT). This wonderful series of books, including The Little Lamb and The Little Duck, are great starter books for children. I personally knew Phoebe Dunn and can honestly say that her love and compassion for children is reflected in the quality of these books.

My son loves these books to this day - almost 20 years later.

-Jeff C. (the blond haired boy riding the bicycle at the end of the book).
